Nothing is more important than children’s welfare. Children who need help and protection deserve high quality and effective support as soon as a need is identified. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and it is a priority for all staff at Braywick Court School.
We work closely with our local safeguarding partners to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm. This includes providing a co-ordinated offer of early help when additional needs of children are identified and contributing to inter-agency plans which provide additional support to the child.
Safeguarding means:
- protecting children from abuse and maltreatment
- preventing harm to children’s health or development
- ensuring children grow up with the provision of safe and effective care
- taking action to enable all children and young people to have the best outcomes

Early Help
Early Help aims to identify families that need help early, so that the right services can work together with families to provide the right support before problems become more complex.
Early Help delivers a wide range of well coordinated early help services, which are improving outcomes for children and families. The single point of access (SPA) and the multi-agency safeguarding hub (MASH) provide a timely and effective response to contacts and referrals.
Braywick Court School has an assigned Early Help Advisor who works closely with us to support our families.

CEOP
The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) – a National Crime Agency command – is here to help children and young people. CEOP is here to keep children safe from sexual abuse and grooming online.
CEOP are here to help and give you advice, and you can make a report directly to us if something has happened online which has made you feel unsafe, scared or worried. This might be from someone you know in real life, or someone you have only ever met online. We take all reports seriously and we will do everything we can to keep you safe.
