At Braywick Court School, PSHCE is woven into the heart of everything we do. We believe that when children understand themselves and the world around them, they grow into confident, independent, reflective, and responsible members of an ever changing society.

Our PSHCE curriculum aims to nurture learners who are articulate, resilient, and confident to share their views and opinions. We provide a safe, nurturing environment where pupils are challenged intellectually, socially, spiritually, and morally.

Through progressive, age appropriate learning across PSHCE & RSE education, we ensure every child receives clear, accurate, and balanced guidance. Pupils learn how to build healthy, respectful relationships, navigate the online and offline worlds safely, manage their physical and mental wellbeing, and make informed, thoughtful choices regarding money and their futures.

By recognising their unique self worth and strengths, Braywick Court School children are empowered to navigate life opportunities and challenges, play a positive role in school life and the wider community, and grow into happy, active global citizens.

PSHCE Curriculum

PSHCE & RSE is taught weekly throughout the school, following the Kapow Primary schemes of work as a guide. 

At Braywick Court, the impact of our PSHCE & RSE curriculum extends far beyond the classroom walls and goes deeperthan simple recall of knowledge. When taught consistently through a well sequenced curriculum, PSHCE & RSE transforms how our children interact, make choices, and navigate everyday situations.

Learning is embedded through dedicated PSHCE & RSE lessons, core value assemblies, and whole school participation in national events such as Safer Internet Day, Anti Bullying Week, and Mental Health Awareness Month. Through interactive methods such as drama, circle time, and reflective discussion, pupils develop self awareness, emotional literacy, and strong communication skills.

Our pupils leave Braywick Court School equipped with the agency, moral compass, and emotional maturity needed to thrive as happy, responsible members of society.
